Mike Kimmel (English), a new instructor in English and Humanities, has just completed his fourth book for young actors.

Nare Garibyan

In 2017, Nare Garibyan (Counseling) self-published her first poetry collection, When Ruins Speak. At that time, she organized a poetry reading at GCC and has had a few other poetry readings in 2018 as well, off campus. Her most recent poetry reading will take place on Thursday, April 25th at 6:30 p.m., just a short drive from GCC, at Flintridge Bookstore and Coffeehouse.

 

Izabela Boyajyan

Recently, Izabela Boyajyan (Architecture) was nominated for a commissioner position for Glendale City Design Review Board and was elected by the city officials.

Izabela says, “I will do my best for our city and community, and our college is a very important part of the community.”

Jake Yuzna

A cinema series curated by Jake Yuzna (Graphic Art) on 1990s science fiction cinema titled Plastic Futures and Premillennial Tensions is opening at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in NYC. Rory Cohen

Rory Cohen (Journalism) has successfully moved to doctoral candidacy, and is now entering the research and analysis phase to bring her to completion of her doctoral work in Education Studies.

Joanna Parypinski

Joanna Parypinski (English) recently signed with literary agent Jill Marr of the Sandra Dijkstra Agency and is looking forward to working with this esteemed agency to sell her next novel.
