California is a huge state so it is natural to have many educational opportunities. Glendale Community College is 1 of 116 community colleges in California. Community colleges include many types of students: nontraditional student, community learners, lifelong learners and typical college student fresh from high school. Kudos to our noncredit Garfield campus that intakes many immigrants and other learners.
GCC represents all of the array of students and offerings and degrees, and experiences! So too are our governance committees that include representatives and committees that reflect and act on behalf of and in the best interest of our community population.
Many of our staff and faculty are products of community college beginnings. For me, I am proud to be a product of a community college and to be a part of the GCC community.
