Making Chaparral: A Behind the Scenes Look

As promised in the issue, we want to show you how people do things (and well!) at GCC. That includes how we produce these digital issues of Chaparral! Here's a short video (sped up really fast) of how we make a text page for Chaparral. To make these pages, we use:

• LibGuide, the system that holds Chaparral
• Canva for header images
• Google Docs to collect columnist text

To make sure the look of Chaparral is correct, you want to have basic knowledge of:

• HTML source code editing
• Canva photo editing 
• Design principles
• Accessibility for images and text
