Chaparral 2024-2025: Ch-ch-ch-changes with Romy and Aisha

Welcome back to Chaparral from your Co-editors, Aisha and Romy! We are so happy you have returned for another term here at GCC. Chaparral continues to be your employee newsletter, which means we reflect what is going on with you. This issue, we are focusing on Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes! As inspired by our favorite starman, David Bowie, we too have seen the many changes on campus and want to turn and face the strange! In our case, strange may be adjusting to how you work, new collaborations that you never thought of before, or facing completely new areas that make you anxious or worried. It’s these times that we, like our students, have to embrace a mindset of growth and possibility. What can we do to change our new world for the better? As you engage with this issue of Chaparral, we hope that you are able to reflect on these changes, acknowledge those anxieties and concerns, and move forward knowing you have a team of people at GCC who feel the same. We are always at our best when in community with others.
