How to Set up a Mango Languages Account

Mango Languages can be used without creating an account, but any progress you make will not be saved, and you will not be able to access the Mango Languages mobile app without an account. In order to access the Mango app, you must first create a profile from the Mango website, and then you can login using the Mango app.

How to create an account

  1. Go to the GCC library website: glendale.edu/library
  2.  Under Research Help, click on the “Databases A – Z” link
  3. Choose “M” at the top of the screen options to find Mango Languages
  4. Click the “Mango Languages” link to open the database. If you are off campus, you may need to log in using your Canvas username and password.
  5. From the Mango homepage, search for and/or click on the name of the language you would like to learn
  6. In the upper right corner of the screen, click on the collapsed menu (the three horizontal lines next to Guest User)

  1. Click “Create a Profile” and use your GCC email address and password
  2. Click “Sign Up” to save and confirm your profile via your GCC email account
  3. On your smartphone, download the Mango Languages: Learning mobile app from the Google Play Store or App Store
  4.  Select “Log In” and use your GCC username and password to log in
  5. You should be able search for and complete the tutorials for any language through the Library's licensed access to Mango
