The Chronicle of Higher Education: GCC Site License
Starting October 1, 2024, all Glendale Community College faculty, staff, administrators, and students have unlimited free access to articles and more on the The Chronicle of Higher Education's website (Chronicle.com).
This site license is funded by GCC's Human Resources Department and access is managed by the GCC Library.
How to Access
Access to Chronicle.com is available anytime and anywhere, whether on campus, at the office or reading from home.
Access without creating a Chronicle.com account: Go to campusguides.glendale.edu/che.
- If the GCC Portal login appears, log in using your GCC Canvas username and password.
- Access is also available through GCC Library's Databases page.
Access using your GCC email address: Go to Chronicle.com and create an account using these steps:
- Go to Chronicle.com and click on the “Sign In” link at the top, right-hand side of the page.
- Click on the “Sign Up” link to create a free account using your GCC email address. You also have the option to sign up for The Chronicle’s free email newsletters during the registration process.
- Activate your account by confirming your email address in the “The Chronicle: Confirm your email address” email.
What does the site license include?
Our site license includes access to:
- The Chronicle’s content, daily news, and data.
- Articles and essays dating back to 1989.
- Special issues like The Almanac of Higher Education and The Trends Report.
- Daily and weekly newsletters with the creation of a free account.
- Opinion pieces from leaders in higher education.
- Higher Education job board and salary comparison data.
