Dictionaries and Encyclopedias
Sometimes, you need to find the definition of a word or a specific term. Other times, you might need a longer explanation of a topic or subject-related concept. Dictionaries provide short definitions of words or terms (or in some cases, information about people). Encyclopedias provide longer entries about people, events, or ideas and are usually a good source of background information.
