Law and Legal Books

This guide offers suggestions on how to locate law-related information in the GCC Library. While the GCC Library's law resources are quite limited, we do provide access to a small collection of legal reference books, as well as circulating print and electronic books. A reference librarian is available to consult with you during the hours the library is open.
To locate a book in the library's catalog, OneSearch, use the subject keyword search option, available in advanced search. Try one of the following searches to begin:
- business law
- real estate law
- real property law
- commercial law
- California criminal law
- California legislation
On the advanced search page, use search terms such as "law," "laws," "legislation," or "code" in combination with another keyword or phrase with "motor vehicles," "national security," "immigration AND emigration," "real estate," for example.
