This semester you will be working on creating a research project on the Rodger Young Village in Griffith Park. While you will not be writing a research paper, you will be conducting historical research and organizing it for public discussion.

After reading some preliminary materials on the Roger Young Village, you will create a research question regarding one of the key themes of this semester: gender, housing, labor, poverty or race.

You will work in a group of three peers to discuss your choices, and key elements of your reflection journal. You will complete a worksheet for each peer on their project.

FINAL VERSION OF REFLECTION JOURNAL DUE: October 19, 2023
You will create a reflection journal, where you critique and comment on class assigned articles on the Rodger Young Village. In addition to this, you will find:
- Two tertiary sources (Wikipedia, Credo, encyclopedias, general about.com pages)
- Three secondary sources (articles, monographs)
- Seven Primary Sources:
- One object from the Autry
- Three primary sources directly linked to the Rodger Young Village
- Three national newspaper articles (for context)

PRODUCE A POSTER DUE: November 21, 2023
You will choose three primary sources from your reflection journal and create a panel for the Autry. On your panel, you must engage your research question and explain why three of your primary sources (from your reflection journal) help answer it.
