How to Borrow a Device or Textbook from the Garfield Library

The Garfield Library is happy to provide students with access to computer equipment and textbooks on a first come, first served basis. All Garfield device requests must go through the divisions. Please see below for specific details. Requests will be fulfilled based on availability. 

Noncredit ESL Classes

Device Information

Actively enrolled students may borrow the following devices from the Garfield Library. Devices are available on a first come, first served basis. 

All-in-One Desktop Computers
All-in-One Desktop computers are reserved for students attending Administrative Medical Assisting, Clinical Medical Assisting, Accounting, and Computing classes. Please contact your division representative to submit an All-in-One Desktop computer request.

Chromebooks
​Chromebooks are available for students attending NC ESL classes, Short Term Vocational classes, and Adult Basic Skills classes. Please contact your division representative to submit a Chromebook request. 
Chromebook Instructions

Hotspots
​The Garfield Library is no longer loaning hotspots to students, faculty, or staff. All hotspots currently in circulation will be deactivated on August 31, 2024. There are no plans to continue the hotspot lending program in the future. 

Laptops
Laptops are reserved for students attending computer classes. Please contact your division representative to submit a laptop request.
