Whether you're looking for a place to study, need to use a computer, or want a good book to read, the Garfield Library supports students enrolled in Noncredit ESL classes. We offer several services and resources to help you with your studies.
The library has 3 internet-connected computers available for student use. Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis for working on class assignments or studying.
The library has a printer, copier, and scanner. Currently, the library does not charge students for printing, copying or scanning if it is done for a class assignment.
Graded Readers are abridged titles written in simplified English and arranged by book LEVEL and TITLE. Each level is color coded and corresponds to the Noncredit ESL Department's course levels.

Listen and Read sets are books with corresponding CDs that narrate the story word-for-word. They allow readers to listen to the story while following along with the text in the book. The Garfield Library has a collection of Listen and Read sets for each Noncredit ESL level.
Includes immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and analysis of results. Students must register and set up their own accounts to use. It tracks tests for each student account.
Searchable collection of over 500 electronic reference books including dictionaries and subject encyclopedias.
