Whether you just need a place to study, need to use a computer, or are looking for a good book to read, the Garfield Campus Library supports all students in the ESL Noncredit program. We offer several services and resources that will help you with your studies.
The library has three internet-connected PCs available for student use. They may be used on a first-come, first-serve basis for working on class assignments or studying.
The library has a three-in-one printer, copier and scanner. Right now, the library does not charge students to pay for printing, copying or scanning if it is done for class assignments or to make copies of a few pages of a textbook on reserve.
Graded Readers are abridged titles written in simplified English and arranged by LEVEL and TITLE of the book. The levels are color coded, and correspond to the GCC Noncredit ESL Department's course levels. Click on the appropriate level for a list of ESL books arranged by level and title. The color-coded chart below shows which color corresponds to each ESL level.
Graded readers include these types of books:

Listen and Read sets are books with corresponding CDs that narrate the story word-for-word. They allow readers to listen to the story while following along with the text in the book. The Garfield Library has a collection of these sets in each non-credit ESL level.
