English 112 - Screenwriting
English 112 is a basic course in the principles and practice of writing for film and cinema. Emphasis is placed upon the essentials of screenplay format, structure, story, character, and the dramatic scene. Class is taught as a workshop.
Remember... A good story is about an interesting character who wants something badly and is having trouble getting it.
To put it another way, in a story the Character (C) must have a Want (W) while facing Obstacles (O).
And hence, the story equation... (C +W) x O = S.
