ENGL 101 - Montgomery Bus Boycott - Blaker

This guide will support Prof. Rhona Baker's ENGL 101 course and their research assignment on the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

How to Place a Hold on a Print Book

Students and employees can now place a hold on books at the Verdugo Library and pick them up during the library's open hours.

How it Works:

  • Place a request for a library book using OneSearch. See instructions below.
  • Within 3 business days, you will receive an email to your GCC email address from the Library Circ Desk (librarycircdesk@glendale.edu). The email is notifying you that the book(s) are available to be picked up.
  • After you receive that email, come pick up the book at the Verdugo Library during our open hours.Happy Reading!

Other Things to Note:

  • Students may request up to 3 books at a time; faculty and staff may request 6 books. Students may have a maximum of 10 books checked-out at a time; staff and faculty may have 30 books.
  • Some books from the Verdugo Library are not able to be borrowed, including those on Library Reserve, or in the Reference Help collections. Books marked as "Unavailable" are not able to be borrowed. Books from the Garfield Library are not able to be borrowed at this time.
  • Unfortunately, we are not able to offer this service to alumni, retiree, or reciprocal borrowers at this time.
