Individual Career Library Databases

The Library offers access to databases that cover many different topics, including information on jobs and careers. The two databases below are a great place to get started on career-related research.

For help using the databases, reach out to a GCC Librarian through the GCC Library website. You can contact us in person, by phone, chat, or email, all of which are available during the library's open hours.

To log into a library database, use your Canvas login and password.

Career & Technical Education (ProQuest)
Use the Career and Technical Education database to find articles from many different publications related to careers and vocations.
PrepSTEP
Use the PrepSTEP database to find information on careers and job testing. Career Preparation and Job and Career Accelerator modules include career and vocational tests and handbooks.
Includes immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and analysis of results. Students must register and set up their own accounts to use. It tracks tests for each student account.
