Glendale Community College Library Updates

eCards Available at Public Libraries

Public libraries have responded to the COVID-19 closures by making it easier to obtain an electronic library card (eCard). You can use an eCard to access digital resources including ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, films, TV, homework help, online classes, and more.

Consult the list below and visit the library's website to apply for an eCard.

Click here to sign up for a temporary digital card at the LA County Library, valid for 90 days. After the libraries re-open, visit any County Library branch to get a permanent library card.

Do you live in the City of Los Angeles? Residents of L.A. City can apply for immediate access to LAPL's digital resources; click here to do so. Within 2 weeks you will receive a postcard in the mail asking you to verify your postal address. You must reply to this postcard by telephone or email to register your eCard, valid for a 3 year term.

With a Los Angeles Public Library card, you have access to resources at more than 70 library branches - the second largest public library system in the U.S.! (The only one bigger is the New York City Public Library.)
