ConferZoom is an online conferencing service provided for California Community Colleges and connects with Canvas. Faculty can use ConferZoom to virtually meet with students in real-time, any time. ConferZoom is the CCC-Version (California Community Colleges - Version) of the commercial Zoom product.
Students access ConferZoom via their Canvas sites. The link for ConferZoom is located on the left side menu of each course's Canvas page. Basically, when instructors create ConferZoom accounts, they can schedule synchronous online meetings with their students and invite them to join. Students receive these invitation links in their emails or calendars. Once an invitation link is clicked on, the ConferZoom application will open automatically in students' devices, and students can join the meeting. Students do not necessarily need to create ConferZoom accounts if they're not hosting meetings.
