Device Drop-Off

If you checked out a laptop, Chromebook, iPad, hotspot, webcam, calculator, or piano keyboard from the Library during Spring semester, it was due at the end of the semester on June 10, 2020.

If you are not enrolled for Summer 2020, please return your device as soon as possible. Starting June 29, you will be able to return your device on a cart outside the Library entrance Monday-Thursday between 7:30 am - 1 pm.

See Returning Books & Devices for more information.

Both the Garfield and Verdugo Libraries are closed until further notice. In-person library workshops, orientations, and tours have been canceled; however,
remote reference services and online library workshops will continue as scheduled and devices are available for student checkout by appointmentCheck back here for library updates and check the Glendale Community College homepage for college-wide updates.

Although the library may be closed to in-person transactions, library faculty and staff are here for you. We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure the college community maintains access to important resources as GCC continues to deliver instruction remotely.

This website was created to help community members remain current on announcements about library resources and services. We will be updating this website regularly and will send an email announcement to the college when we have something new to share.

  • Get more information about current access to Textbooks & Course Reserves.
  • Use an app to Scan Your Textbooks.
  • Get online access to ebooks and articles through OneSearch.
  • Ask us to design and develop a subject CampusGuide (website) curated specifically for your research assignment. CampusGuides can be embedded directly into Canvas and provide access to reliable resources such as ebooks, credible websites, videos, audio, and more.
  • Invite a librarian to lead a synchronous session with Zoom or in Canvas to teach students research skills.
  • Embed a librarian into a semester length course as a single point of contact to whom students can direct research questions.
  • Get an electronic public library card to access online collections at local libraries

Contact your library liaison if you're interested in exploring any of the above.
