We're using Canvas as a tool to collect essay submissions. If you're not familiar with Canvas or want a refresher, there's lots of help on the College's Welcome to Canvas page.
Submissions may take the form of a creative essay, persuasive argument, analytical essay, research paper, dramatic work, fiction or nonfiction narratives, etc…
Other media may be considered, but must be accompanied by a written submission that describes the motivation for the work, its conception, process of creation and meaning.
Submissions will be anonymously reviewed. PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR SUBMISSION

Winners of the essay competition will be announced at this event. First prize earns $300; second prize $200 and third prize $100.
During the event, facilitator will solicit ideas to move GCC toward goal of becoming a Zero Waste Society and project will be selected to be implemented over the 2019-20 school year.
