Chaparral 2012-2013: 21.4 Milestones

Zitlali Arias (Library) and her husband welcomed their first baby, Isaac on Saturday, February 2nd at 3:16 a.m.

Sevada Avakian (Learning Center) and his wife have welcomed their new baby, Aren, to their family.

Abe Barakat's (Senior A/P Clerk) first grand daughter was born on January 14, 2013 - weighing 6 lbs 11 oz - and measuring at 19".

Tristan Torosian was born on Saturday morning, November 24th, 2012 at Glendale Adventist hospital, to EOPS Counselor Polet Der Hovanessian and her husband Hrair Torosian, weighing in at a healthy 8lb 2.5oz., and measuring at 20 3/4".

 Angela Khachikian (Library) and her husband are proud parents of their second child. Baby Adrian arrived on Monday, October 1st, 2012 at 6:51 p.m. weighing 7 lbs 5 oz, and 20 1/2".

Sarah Bederman (Credit ESL) and her fiancé Ben got engaged in late December in Costa Rica. The proposal came at the end of a long, muddy, rainy hike up the side of Cerro Chato Volcano! 

Karen Hamilton joined the Noncredit ESL faculty as the new full-time Vocational ESL instructor. She taught previously at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA and with the Los Angeles Dodgers. If you see her around campus, please say hello! 

 Jeff Smith(Language Arts) completed Walden University’s Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program in Higher Education and Adult Learning. The degree was conferred on December 23, 2012.
