Chaparral 2023-2024: Governance Office Coordinator Frankie Strong

Chaparral spoke with Governance Office Coordinator Frankie Strong as she reflected on her year and those who supported her in her position. Here is what she shared:

Chaparral: Think about the last academic year. Who made your life easier, helped you accomplish a goal, supported you and your work, etc.? What would you like to say to them via the Chaparral?

Frankie: This question feels like the academy awards – there is not one person but a whole team I’d like to thank.  What luck to work with such dynamic, and really smart individuals!  Thank you for helping me move things forward, for your support in a lot of ways, for helping with logistics, for your smile and warmth. I am grateful to my colleagues in the AMP group!  In Facilities, Garfield, and really throughout the college.  Thank you to our fearless leaders who continue to support us as we move forward together in our continual quest to elevate GCC.  Thank you CSEA, Guild, Senate leaders.

Chaparral: Any final thoughts for folks going into Summer and Fall in your position?·    

Frankie: Wishing you a healthy, and fun summer!  Experience something new! Make a lot of memories.  For you are most important.  Looking forward to hearing about your adventures when I see you during summer and at the start of fall.
