This year has been one of the most challenging years for everyone. Despite having to embrace some difficult changes during the pandemic, the tireless dedication of our Classified staff continues because many families, including our students’, need our support.
State leaders know that schools can’t operate safely or effectively without full classified staff’s help, whether in person or distance learning. All the Classified employees at Glendale Community College have distinguished themselves on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It has become abundantly clear that a global pandemic knows no boundaries and the lines between personal responsibilities and professional obligations are increasingly blurred. Many of you are navigating uncharted territory as you represent multiple roles often under one roof at the exact same time.
It’s been almost 3 years since I was elected to be our Chapter’s president. I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation and personally thank each and every one of you for your hard work and devotion.
I am continually impressed by the perseverance and compassion I have seen across our campus community, and at the same time, know that the demands many of you may be feeling are overwhelming. Every single one of you serves a crucial, vital, and essential role at Glendale Community College in meeting the daily needs of our students, faculty, staff and community members. It’s also important to make sure you are taking care of yourselves.
Without your sacrifice and devotion to GCC’s mission, we would not be able to be as successful and function at the high and demanding level everyone has come to expect from our organization for the past 100 years.
