Learning Objectives:

  • Understand differences between bibliographic and full-text databases
  • Be able to find a comprehensive list of databases available from the library, as well as any research tools available on the library website
  • Know how the institution’s Acceptable Use policies apply to database use
  • Apply criteria for choosing the best database(s) for an information need
  • Evaluate database results to determine if search strategy needs to be changed
